The energy used in preparing the settlement statements is the aggregated value of all

the metered readings consumptions for a distributor and the energy sent to the grid for a generator.
the distributor

pays a certain percentage of the GENCOs energy sent to the grid. this is determined by the proportion of  the energy

delivered to a DISCO  and the total energy sent to the grid.
during the transitional stage of the market, participants

are expected to have contracts and the energy quantities will be the stipulated one in the contract. if however the

aggregated meter readings is either more or less than the quantity in the contract, then it will be considered as

imbalance.
participants are advised to maintain their networks and ensure that all their meters are functioning

effectively.
