The Market Operator, Engr. Dr. Edmund Eje met with the international bilateral customers and their suppliers to discuss the issues of contracted capacities, energy accountability (Metering), associated challenges, and the strategies to improve supply services.

Speaking, Engr. Eje emphasized the need for collaboration among the power suppliers and their customers to achieve seamless and smooth transactions. He advised the power suppliers to the international customers to follow due diligence, consult with the grid operators before commitment on capacity. This is to make sure the national grid is not compromised especially through the Ikeja-West/Sakete Transmission line.

In attendance were Transcorp Power, Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Paras Energy, the representatives of Benin Republic (SBEE) and Togo (CEET).
